The Soul of the Russian Hinterland

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to my grandmother’s house in the village. Then everything changed. A lot of people left, it became lonely. You go and see a lot of things that have not been touched by anyone for a long time: a rusty trough, an abandoned barn, a pile of unnecessary junk, an almost empty street library with one book, the leaves of which are strangely bent by the wind. But life in this village has remained. Young animals graze in the fields and watch the people who sometimes go out on the roads of the village.
