The Global Peace Photo Award had the honor to receive an APPRECIATION AWARD, presented by the XPOSURE Photo Festival in Sharjah.
„Yesterday evening, the APPRECIATION AWARDS were presented at the XPOSURE Photo Festival in Sharjah. For the Global Peace Photo Award Hilde Sandvik, Lars Boering and I had the honour to accept the prizes.: Thanks to the inspiration of our jury member Lars Boering who presented the Global Peace Photo Award to XPOSURE photo festival in Sharjah, an initiative of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, the festival’s creative director Simon Newton was ready to accept the Global Peace Photo Award as part of this unique photo festival in the Middle East. Simon placed our show close to the entrance area – very visible to every visitor. What a joy to see our works side by side with some of the best photographers of all times like Brian Skerry, Chris Rainier, David Doubilet, James Nachtwey, Joel Sartore, Muhammed Muheisen, Stephen Wilkes or Steve McCurry – just to name a few. Even in our first meeting Simon invited us to return every year to show What Does Peace Look Like.“
