A peace of ice-cream
An ice-cream together tastes of peace and joy... On the photo: Fabian (8) and Ruben (8), brothers of Flaminia (11) and Annelie (11), respectively, who had the idea and took the picture. All four children attend the German School of Rome (Deutsche Schule Rom). Annelie and Flaminia heard of the Award from their art teacher. It was a great opportunity for all of them to talk about peace, but also to learn about photography and to deal with the realization of a project...

Day in the countryside
How wonderful, on a summer's day, to come from the stuffy city to the countryside and to stay with friends in their hospitable house. What an expanse and freedom for grandchildren, what happiness for us!

Peace is a state of being. A feeling of love, freedom, happiness. Peace can often be felt when one is all alone, resting in the ideal location. In this photo we can certainly detect the relaxing vibe caused by a quiet car ride surrounded by winter whiteness. What a peaceful moment.

Different but the same
Seven photos about ideas for peace. Realized by three students at Deutsche Schule Rom - Emanuele, Frederic and Alberto - 10 years old: a wonderful experience and a message for peace. 7 of 7 - Diversity as a value for peace.

I have photographed friends of mine who are twins. They like each other a lot. They share many things and try to act peacefully with each other. I like the pictures with the big bubble a lot. Because the two boys try to create something beautiful together.

My most peaceful moments are those shared with my friends. I love the warm summer evenings, when we are having a lot of fun together. On such an evening you just don't want to go home. This is peace for me.

Just about the beautiful
My name is Kira. My parents gave me their old camera and I'm learning to take pictures. I'm still a child, of course, but I know for sure that photography is my future. I really want to take beautiful pictures. I want to learn to see the meaning in simple things. I want to be able to see complex things simple and beautiful. And, of course, make the world kinder and brighter.

Let Me Do What I Wanna Do To
I hate it if someone wants to talk me out of my dreams, my goals or just what I want to do. Don't bother me and let me do what i wanna do! (the boy in the picture is me) #retro

I was visiting the only grey seal colony in Germany at Helgoland island in the North Sea with my grandpa in January 2015. It was so cold and windy. I was lucky to observe the kiss of a cub to her mother - a peaceful moment in a harsh environment.

Walk with a ferret
We went to the suburbs and decided to take photos with a ferret. Turned out pretty good, because, here, there is happiness.

Was ist für mich Frieden?
After games, stories, picture books and conversations about peace, six nursery children at the Lower Austrian Landeskindergarten Sitzenberg, aged 5-6 years, set out with a camera and photographed what peace meant for them. We then looked at these photos together and each child was allowed to find a suitable title for his or her photograph.
