Xposure International Photography Festival presents an overview of the Global Peace Photo Award pictures of the past years.
Xposure is a non-profit educational & photography & film platform that combines a range of photography events including; Exhibitions, Workshops, Seminars, Presentations, Competitions, Screenings, Portfolio Reviews and a photographic product Trade Show. The trade show hosts leading photographic brands who showcase the latest cameras, accessories, and equipment to the public, and photographers from enthusiasts to professional, trade associations and retailers.
Thanks to the inspiration of our jury member Lars Boering who presented the Global Peace Photo Award to XPOSURE photo festival in Sharjah, an initiative of H. H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, the festival’s creative director Simon Newton was ready to accept the Global Peace Photo Award as part of this unique photo festival in the Middle East. Simon placed our show close to the entrance area – very visible to every visitor. What a joy to see our works side by side with some of the best photographers of all times like Brian Skerry, Chris Rainier, David Doubilet, James Nachtwey, Joel Sartore, Muhammed Muheisen, Stephen Wilkes or Steve McCurry – just to name a few. Even in our first meeting Simon invited us to return every year to show „What Does Peace Look Like“. THANK YOU, DEAR SIMON.
